Software Product Lines: Practices and Patterns
http://www.awprofessional.com/title/0201703327 Designing Software Product Lines with UML: From Use Cases to Pattern-based Software Architectures This book is great for the UML syntax we will need to use. But if you decide to read it beware that it excludes many of the Architectural practices that we will be using that are found in the other resources I put in the other posting. It does not use Attribute Driven Design, Cost-Benefit Analysis, or Architectural Tradeoff Analysis. If you get it, keep that in mind. It is only good for an artifact creation reference, not the process behind arriving at the artifacts.
http://www.awprofessional.com/title/0201775956 Software Factories: Assembling Applications with Patterns, Frameworks, Models & Tools This is an awesome book for an overview of the software development industry practices. It includes a detailed breakdown of product line engineering, as well as a ton of other great information.
